It is probably known to everybody by now. 100 players enter a plane, landing on an island with the help of a parachute. Empty-handed at first with the ordeal to get guns and equipment to kill others while avoiding getting killed themselves. The available safe area of the game's map decreases in size over time, directing surviving players into tighter areas to force encounters. The last player or team standing wins the round. And, that is where the fight begins. This is interesting for people when you think about how one would act in a comparable circumstance. Eat or be eaten. The game put the battle royale mode on the world map. But how does it become so successful?
PUBG PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is an online multiplayer battle royale game developed and published by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of South Korean video game company Bluehole. Brendan Greene is the man behind PUBG, he was born in Ireland and moved to Brazil to pursue his career as photographer and web designer.
ARMA II is a popular video game which allows mods to gamers which means players can make their own game in the game according to their wish and requirements. Greene found most multiplayer first-person shooters too repetitive, considering maps too small and easy to memorize. He wanted to create something with more random aspects so that players would not know what to expect, creating a high degree of replayability, this was done by creating vastly larger maps that could not be easily memorized, and using random item placement across it and came up with his own Mod in the game which is based on Battle Royale Japanese Movie. Soon the mod became popular among players and Brendan started getting people’s attention. Soon Blue hole company employee Kim contacted and offered him the opportunity to work on a new battle royale concept.
Within a few weeks, he was appointed as a Creative Director in Blue Hole, and in early 2016 a team was assigned under him to make a game fit to his ideas with better innovations and technology named PUBG.
